Revol porcelain withstands extreme temperatures, within reason. We advise against immediate transfer from the freezer to the oven: we suggest that you defrost or allow the dish to return to room temperature beforehand! This is especially true for dishes with handles.
Revol products are designed to be used in ovens for broiling, caramelizing, and generally bringing out all the subtle flavours of your recipes. They guarantee excellent temperature maintenance.
Tests run on a Revol dish of a casserole baked in the oven at 200°C/392°F and then cooled to room temperature, showed that the casserole stayed at the right temperature for 1h30 after having been taken out of the oven.
Revol products are practical and are microwave, freezer, and dishwasher safe for your best convenience.
DIRECT SOURCES OF HEAT: Do not use on portable stoves or any other source of direct heat. With the exception of the REVOLUTION range, Revol products should not be used over flames, even when using a heat diffuser, as the flame concentrates the heat in one spot and the dish may break.
SHIFTS IN TEMPERATURE : Do not subject your dish to extreme temperature changes: for example, by placing a very cold ingredient in the middle of a very hot dish. Adding cold water to a hot dish can also create thermal shock. When defrosting a dish, we suggest placing it directly into a cold oven before turning on the oven: the dish and the oven will heat up simultaneous.
GRIL / ROTISSOIRE: When using under a broiler, leave at least 7cm (2.75 inches) between the edge of the dish and the heat source.
CLEANING: Wash by hand or in the dishwasher. To remove stubborn residues, fill the dish with hot soapy water, soak it for 10 to 20 minutes, rinse and then dry.
