What does the registration of this trademark represent? The dawn of a new era for the Revol manufacturers, a time of growth. Thanks to the progress it has achieved in the quality of pastes and enamels since its inception, the company has earned itself a strong reputation and been able to grow. In 1888, the manufacturers created a soft-paste porcelain, otherwise known as culinary porcelain. This innovation marked a turning-point in the company’s history. Registering it under the trademark “Terre d’acier” (Steel earth), Hector Revol reserved the company’s right to exploit this new product. The archive shown here from 1901 renews the exclusivity of this right.
